Edgerton Public School is a K - 12 Public School. Edgerton Public School offers students small classes and a safe and fun learning environment. A small teacher-to-student ratio allows the staff to encourage all individuals to excel in many different areas. The School also has a strong and active Parent Council.

Family School Liason Program (FSL)
Family School Liason Program (FSL) provides short term social/emotional counselling (skills and strategies) to children/students and their families in Buffalo Trail Schools and East Central Catholic Schools.

- Counselling
The psychologist provides short term, solution focused counselling to individuals, couples, youth and families. Fees for this professional service are subsidized by WDFCS for residents in the service area of the Municipal District of Wainwright including, Edgerton, Irma, Chauvin and Wainwright. The Mission of Healthy Families is to work in partnership with families to provide information and support that encourages positive and responsive parenting, promotes child well-being and nurtures healthy development of children during the early years of life through home visitation services.
Healthy Families provides prevention programs aimed to help parents and parents-to-be build healthy families by providing the support needed to create healthy homes. During home visitation facilitators provide moms, dads, families and caregivers who are expecting (prenatally) or have infants/children 0-6 years of age with information
- support in areas of positive-child relationships
- increasing parenting knowledge
- promoting family wellness
- fostering healthy child development
- creating a safe stimulating home environment
- support to access a network of formal and informal services and supports in the community.
The Program is voluntary, with no fee. Anyone can refer, including: self; Parents; Friends; Public Health Nurses; Social Workers; Teachers; Physicians; Prenatal Instructors. Program is available to anyone in the Villages of Edgerton, Chauvin, Irma, Town of Wainwright and MD of Wainwright.

Speech-language pathology partners with families, schools and health care providers to support children who have trouble communicating due to speech, language, voice, stuttering, or swallowing concerns.
Services:
- may be provided together with other services, such as Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy
- may include assessment, consultation, treatment, follow-up, and co-ordination of services
- can be provided on an individual or group basis
- may be offered in many settings, including health centre/clinic, home, school, and community
- are based on the family priorities and goals
- health promotion and public education
