The Nest Daycare
This is the newest addition to the Eagles Nest Programs, a full-time daycare for children aged 12 months and up.
Complete and submit the Registration Form for The Nest in the 'Forms' section of this website. Your space is reserved and your child(children) are registered when the registration form is completed and submitted along with the Registration Fee and hours of care required for the upcoming month.
The Nest Daycare is located at 5017 - 50 Avenue in Edgerton. Hours of Operation are currently 6:30 am to 6:00 pm, with the possibility to increase hours with increased enrollment. Our staff are provincially licensed Early Childhood Educators who are passionate about working with children in a creative environment.
With the Federal/Provincial Childcare funding, Daycare Centres will be provided an Affordability Grant to help lower fees for families. The Affordability Grant is based on the age of the child as well as the hours in childcare and will reduce childcare fees for each child in the program. This grant is separate from childcare subsidy. The Affordability Grant does not need to be applied for by families. The Affordability Grant funding only applies to Daycare and does not apply to Before & After School Care.
The goal of the Federal/Provincial Childcare funding is to provide an average $10.00/day childcare in the future. As well, subsidy for childcare has been expanded to include families with an income up to $179,000.00 and subsidy rates have also increased based on the age of the child. Childcare Subsidy must be applied for by families to the Provincial Government.
The Nest Daycare Supply List:
- Labelled Water Bottle (can be left at daycare)
- Lunch & 2 Snacks
- Shoes for indoors & outdoors
- Weather appropriate outdoor clothes (Hat/Toque, Mitts, Coat, Boots, Splash Pants, etc.)
- Full change of clothes (in labeled ziplock bag)
- Diapers/Wipes/Diaper Cream (can be left at daycare)
Receipts are issued for Eagles Nest programs that may be used when filing annual income tax return. This is a significant benefit to our program families.
